Established in 2000, it is owned and operated by Jeff Lindberg, a USDF bronze, silver, and gold medalist. Jeff started riding as a boy in his native New Mexico. In 1983, he took the first of many clinics from Charles de Kunffy, whose influence continues to impact Jeff’s riding today.
Jeff earned a Bachelor’s degree in mathematics from Lafayette College in Easton, Pennsylvania in 1992, and a Master’s degree in Architecture from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, NY in 1995. While practicing as an architect, he continued to pursue his dressage riding and training, and in 2000 opened his own facility to work as a professional trainer and instructor.
Over the years, Jeff has been fortunate to receive instruction from many notable equestrians. Jeff has also worked with a wide variety of breeds and recognizes the unique gifts and challenges of each horse. (The USDF website discloses that he has been in 352 competitions on 31 different horses, and his business records show that over 120 horses have been in training to date.) Because of the range of his experience, Jeff is a Schleese Saddlery Ambassador.
Bishop's Gate Farm is a full service, 13 stall, boarding and training farm located on 46 acres in the heart of Saratoga County horse country. The farm offers large matted stalls, many acres of turn-out paddocks, a bridle path for hacks, indoor arena, climate controlled tack room, top quality grain and hay, and individualized care for each horse.
Jeff offers lesson and training packages from beginner to grand prix, ship-in lessons are welcome, or he can travel to your farm for clinics. Jeff’s training and teaching are often able to help riders and horses find solutions to problems that may have seemed previously complex, frustrating or intractable. The analytical, reflective and visual nature of Jeff’s schooling as a mathematician and architect influences the way he works with horses and riders.

Flex-on stirrups system uses elastomer shock absorbers with a wide footbed, which cushions the shock-waves from the horse’s movement, helping the rider’s stability and reducing joint stress across all the equestrian disciplines. Advantages: This technology maximizes comfort and preserves the rider’s position and physique.
